APPAREL DESIGN
Design is the foundation of my work and I approach this from the user’s point of view by creating clean, elegant lines that work with the body, with the simplest form often being the strongest solution. I use an advanced knowledge of apparel construction that I incorporate with the physical motion and environmental conditions for the given activity, to create authentic clothing that connects to the soul of the market
FORECASTING
Analyzing societal and cultural influences to project trends and future direction specifically for a given market direct the evolution of the product. This is where tribal cues and hits signify brand authenticity.
DESIGN DIRECTION
Establishing the foundation of design language in relation to the brand is the narrative of why your product exists and how it will make your customer’s life so much better. Telling this story well is crucial to connecting with your customer. Searching out the codes that connect the identity of the user to the brand convey this message are a fun part of the details of the story.
MATERIALS SOURCING
Researching advanced materials and technologies for new solutions for innovative functional product is part of the fun of creating the best product on the planet. It is always exciting to learn about and experiment with new tools for making things happen.
PATTERN WORK
Fit and details are essential to any garment and accuracy at this step is crucial. My studies of advanced patternmaking and rigorous attention to detail help create a perfect fit with fewer prototypes.
COLOR DIRECTION AND MERCHANDISING
Color is one obsession that I have been happy to be stricken with. It is the secret sauce that is often the first element that draws a customer in and ultimately can be the final reason for the sale, so your color game has to be absolute.
DEVELOPMENT
Tech packs are the road map that bring your creative vision to life. To ensure effective commercialization of my designs, tech packs need to be on-point and visually communicate to people who might not speak the same language, so I bring a heightened level of detail to this part of the process.
