KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPORT AND THE MARKET
Beth is an avid and accomplished outdoors person who designs from the strength of her personal knowledge and experience gained through a lifelong passion for the outdoors.
She holds a Wilderness First Responder certification earned during a twelve-week Outward Bound Leadership Semester course and has completed marathons in Boulder, Leadville, Los Angeles, Maui and Portland, Oregon. She has tested running shoes for Adidas International and tested and written for Trail Runner Magazine.
While interning at Patagonia, Beth designed special clothing for her solo bike trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles and for her Outward Bound Leadership Semester course. As a design student, Beth helped build innovative passive solar designed homes in Taos, New Mexico and worked for many seasons on the design team for the Telluride International Film Festival.
A novice surfer, she hones her skills in Hawaii, Costa Rica and various undisclosed locations on Mexico’s Pacific coast. She competed in her first mountain biking race in 1993, and she endeavors to ride most trails in the mountains of Crested Butte and Moab. Beth has climbed rock all over the Rockies, Sangre de Cristo, Wasatch, Blue Ridge and Sierra ranges. She is currently gearing up for a trek in Machu Picchu and planning her next month-long climbing trip in southern Thailand. Beth snowboards, skate skis and competes in triathlons when her hamstrings allow.
Beth lives with her husband Jamie and Griffin the Wonder Dog in Boulder, Colorado, the outdoor sports capital of the country.
